The girls have followed Ben to Belize...

And as my girl Kendall so kindly pointed out.. someone dared use the phrase, "Do You Belize in Love?"

They head off in a helicopter. Ooh, never been done before.

I liked this chick at first.. now I'm not so sure.

The way she says important is really weird. And she's wearing stripper shoes. And I could wear her hoop earrings as a choker. Do you need more? I have plenty of material, but I'm starting to feel bad for her.

Ok folks... The Grammy's this year were pretty much all music. Who won besides Adele? I have no idea. So let's get to the important part... what people wore. And what idiots were invited that had no more business being there than I would... you'll see what I mean with the first pic..

A. She has no musical connections whatsoever.

Bachelor Ben (Needs a Haircut)

Let's make this as short and sweet as possible...

unlike the 2 hour long snooze-fest that was The Bachelor last night.

Bachelor Ben

Side note: 8:02 PM - Kacie B is already tearing up about how much she likes Ben and hates sharing him with everyone.

This continues throughout the entire 2 hour stretch.

This girl is cute and is getting a lot of screen time, but she is coming across as reaaaaal whiny.

Moving on.

Date 1:

Ben and cute-New-Yorker-with really-good-bangs

aka Rachel

This date went from zero to awkward in 10 seconds flat.

Not sure about him, but the numerous awkward silences out on that boat made me want to jump overboard, swim to shore and never look back.

Instead, they made out. A bunch.

Thus causing Ben to catch a slight case of amnesia and get over the fact that they have nothing in common and she has no conversation skillz.

Rose. And scene.

Date 2:

Ben and a buncha chicks in waders

Ben rode a horse through the stream that was separating him and the girls...

and looked reallll uncomfortable doing it.

They all ride horses over to another part of the stream where they find waders and fly fishing rods and continue to fish. Nothing anyone said was important except the following two quotes from Courtney.

Courtney, 28, Model:

- "I know this is a fishing date, but lets be honest, its not really about catching a trout it's more about catching Ben."

- "I've never fished before, but catching a fish probably isn't that much harder than catching a man. Done that before."

Then comes cocktail hour where Ben wants to spend some quality time with Casey S because "she seems very adventurous and free-spirited." Read: "Casey is wearing a hot pink bikini/bra under a thin white shirt. I want to go around the corner and stare at her boobs for a few minutes."

Then Nicki and Ben talked.

I dozed off.

Later Samantha interrupted Nicki to chastise Ben for only bringing her on group dates.

Apparently she has such crazy feelings for Ben that she thinks she should have a ring on her finger already. (Whaaaaaat?!)

Well, Samantha got a slap in her pretty little face when Ben basically told her he didn't see things going much further than the bench they were sitting on.

Tears. Attitude. Whys. Packing. More tears.

Toodles Sammy.

Ben and Kacie B smooch and fall in love a little bit more.

Courtney gets pissed and puts on her lip gloss.

Then she steals Ben away, talks in an annoying baby voice and complains about how rough it is being on The Bachelor going on fantasy dates and potentially furthering her modeling career. Vom. She secured the rose, though. Well played, Court. But don't say 'winning' anymore. Charlie Sheen is not cool. And that's pretty much a wrap.

Date 3: Bennifer

Jennifer, the strange-shade-of-red head from OKC, gets the second one-on-one date this week.

They really like each other.

If I were Jennifer, I would NOT like this date.

They climb a hill/mountain and are to repel into a giant crater with water at the bottom. Ummmm, that sucks. But she's a trooper and they drop on down then release the ropes and fall into the water. Then they doggy paddle like crazy and make out while trying to keep their heads above water.

Waste of 10 minutes in my opinion.

Dinner, relationship talks, lots of agreeing, a downpour hits, talks of romantic rain, rose... then they take a gondola ride to their own Clay Walker concert. Well, in the middle of a group of strangers/extras. Womp womppp... Brad Paisley, must not have been available. But she is from OK, so she was down. And that's that.

Cocktail Hour/Rose Ceremony:

*Genius alert!*

Emily decides to use her time to tell Ben how horrible one of the other girls is.. but she doesn't want to name names or throw anyone under the bus. But just so he knows, she got a rose on the group date and everyone was shocked.

Hmm.. Courtney's gonna be piiiiissed. Especially when Emily decides to tell Court's BFF Casey S. everything she said to Ben. Dun dun dunnn... So Courtney bitches her out. Emily spazzes about how she probably ruined her chances. No argument here.

And that's that. Chris Harrison steps in to draw the night to an end.

Goin' to the Chapel

Today is the wedding day of one of my MOST favorite people!!

Molly Marshall is gettin' hitched today!

To this guy... Thad! Who I can't wait to finally meet.

Molly lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma where she's a really rich and famous dentist.

Yeah, she's pretty important.

As I was searching our Facebook Timeline for some pics for this post, I found quite a few goodies! Oldies.. but goodies.

We met in the Tri Delt house and quickly decided to be roommates the next semester.

We loved it.

~~Everyone else~~ Ginger and Courtney hated it.

Mostly because once we climbed up on our triple cinder block stacked beds, there was no getting down. Which meant our across the hall neighbors & besties, Ginger and Courtney, were called upon quite often for really ~~trivial~~ serious issues like dropped remotes, lights left on, and cell phones too far out of reach to make a call downstairs to see what was for lunch. Oh and then there was the glitter fight. And the hairball war (ahem, Courtney!) .... Oh, the glory days.

Miss America: Top Five

Listen, pageants take guts. I get that.
But if you make it to Miss America, you better be prepared.
You know it's on television for the world to see and there are lots of judgmental folks out there.
Present company ~~included~~ excluded.

Here's my top five.

Sweet little Betty Thompson.

Miss Oklahoma. (On the right)

She was my pick from the beginning.. she was first runner up so I wasn't too far off.

But just look at her. She just makes me want to say awww. She oozed class.

And as a lover of Riverdance (yeah I admit it-no shame in my game), I loved her talent!

The Big Apple's talent routine was a Big Dud

So for the majority of the night, New York was looking like a major front runner..

I mean just look at her.

Then came the talent competition.

Miss NY chose to sing a ~~boring~~ rousing rendition of Disneyland.

"What's Disneyland?," you ask..

Nobody friggin' knows. Google it if you want. I'm not gonna bother.

It was horrible. Not only was it unrecognizable, let me tell ya, she is no Celine Dion.

And her dress looked like one of those magic eye pictures. Just made me dizzy and confused.

And that, my friends, was the end of Miss New York's chance at becoming Miss America.

Womp. Womp.

California's Black Swan killed the talent competition

In what was by far the best talent performance of the night, California channeled her inner black swan.

Someone did a great job capturing the moment she revealed her wings!

Anyway, she was fab. The only thing missing was a Mila Kunis moment with Miss New York.

Game Changer

After 3 girls were cut to narrow the competition to the top 12 contestants,

there was a last minute announcement.

They were about to do something that's never been done before..

dun. dun. dun.

The top 12 was about to become the top 15.

The contestants who didn't make the top 15 were told to line up behind the one contestant

(of the 3 who had just been cut) that they felt most deserved a second chance.

Alabama was the winner by a long shot. And I believe the reason was this:

Those girls didn't want us to miss out on seeing her hideous evening gown.

Miss Alabama couldn't find the perfect dress, so she took design matters into her own hands and crumpled up the outer rim of the Talladega racetrack and stuck it on her shoulder.

Gentlemen, start your engines.

And the absolute best moment of the whole night:

Miss Wisconsin wins it all..

.. and showcases her complete and utter disregard for waterproof mascara.

Pageant rule number one: waterproof mascara.

If it's not, it should be.

This is just sad.

I mean girl is beautiful, but this is a hot, hot mess.

She's gotta be regretting that. Even with the win, this won't go away, ha!

Breakin' News on the Bachelorette Front

Emily Maynard is the next bachelorette!

The slow talkin', sweet as pie, single momma is givin' reality tv love a second chance!

I can't pretend I didn't luuuuuurve Emily when she was on Brad's season.

I wanted them to work! I really did!

She had one heckuva heart breaking story. She lost Little Ricki's race car driver dad in a plane crash right around the time she found out she was preggers. She wasn't ready to find love until the surefire romance maker that is The Bachelor. Hmm..

So obviously, the Bachelor producers sent her on a group date at a racetrack. Stay classy, ABC.

Anywho, she obviously got the final rose, in ~~the most dramatic~~ a run of the mill rose ceremony. Then it was time to get back to real life and shit hit the fan. They fell apart living in different cities, not going on dream dates, etc. What's new, Bachelor?

Lots of rumors swirled about... her and Brad's relationship... whether her pregnancy was meant to lock the race car driver in and his family shunned her... whether or not she made up her profession at a children's hospital.. and the list goes on. She went on a Bachelorette special edition show to set ~~Chris Harrison~~ ~~Brad~~ America straight. There were tears. Lots of sweet Southern tears.

Then she fell off the face of the Earth.

Well, sheeee's baaaack! I can't wait to see how this goes.

Word on the street is that POS Bentley is begging producers for a shot at love with Emily.

Now if goofy lookin' Ben would hurry up and pick one of the crazies vying for his love, we could get to Emily's season already! Would you accept her rose? Well you're probably a chick if you're reading this... so would you accept Ben's rose? I have to say that's a big fat negative on my part.

In an effort to keep my blogging more consistent, I'm taking part in something easy like WTF Wednesday. I think it's pretty self explanatory.

I think I can manage this on a weekly basis.

Shit like this makes me laugh everyday, so how hard can it be to pick one a week.

And if I can't find it on my own, Chelsea Handler usually comes up with some pretty good wtf's every night on Chelsea Lately - only the best talk show on television. I may have to put a couple of those in my repertoire for your future viewing pleasure.

I'll admit it.. With the exception of my 9/11 post, I havent posted in months. Like all summer. Whoa. Time to get back on the bloggin' bandwagon! About a month ago, I went to see the Tony Award winning musical "Anything Goes."

To say it was amazing doesn't suffice!! I am obsessed. Like make friends with the security guy in order to meet the star obsessed. Yep, I'm that girl.

Turns out that was the best thing I could've done! I met Sutton (who looks completely different from her glam blonde alter ego, Reno Sweeney!) but is beautiful and as sweet as they come. She completely obliged my chatty self as i gushed to her about how great she was, ha! After meeting Sutton and chatting with my new security friend for a while about loving the show and thanking him for working his magic, he told me they have volunteer ushers every night and they get to stay and watch the show for free. Ummm... SIGN. ME. UP.

So I grabbed my Broadway lovin' pal Jen and we spent one Friday evening at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre. All we had to do was make sure people knew where their seats were! Easy peasy. And then it was showtime... And I fell in love all over again! I love musicals and I LOVE tap dance! If you come to NYC anytime between now and January, make sure you SEE. THIS. SHOW. Sutton Foster is amaaaazing. She can sing and tap like it's nobody's business! I am truly in awe of her. And Joel Grey is one of a kind. So really. Do it.

September 11th, 2001 is a day I will never forget. I remember sitting in physics class my senior year of high school and hearing the news about the attack on the North tower of the WTC. We watched the rest of that days events unfold in horror. I was forever changed by what I saw. Today is my first 9/11 in NYC.

It is a little eerie, but also I feel a great sense of pride. As I approach my one year anniversary in the city, I consider myself a New Yorker. This is my home now. I am proud of this city for bouncing back and being so resilient. Especially as we receive threats on our bridges and tunnels and threats of car bombings. It's sad to think that people are still trying to bring us down and hurt our great country. As I hurried down 14th street today, I passed the Salvation Army building. The SA band was putting on a concert in honor of the 10 year anniversary. I stopped briefly and listened.

Matthew Williamson for Impulse

So tonight on my way home I passed by Macy's and noticed their amazing windows touting Matthew Williamson for Impulse. The colors and prints were fab and really caught my attention. I decided to stop in and see what it was all about. Talk about good timing. Tonight was the official launch of the line. Matthew was in the store and so was Kelis to do a special performance. The performance started with a cover of Madonna's Celebrate and went right into Milkshake, a fan favorite :) Matthew was standing right next to the stage and having a blast. It was adorable.

The visual displays were amazing and there were live models in the clothes. The pieces looked great on and they weren't over the top pricey. There wasn't anything I was dying to have but then again it was a bit crowded. Maybe I should go peruse the racks another day!

Leggings do not equal pants.

I just want to further stress that i truly believe leggings are NOT to be substituted for pants. With a tunic or a dress, fine. But I beg of you, don't wear with a short top. I'm not interested in seeing the up close and personal details of your behind. Prime example: This very attractive girl was getting off the subway with me the other day.. Wearing a cute top, amazing jacket and great boots. The only catch:

Leggings for pants. Doesn't matter how attractive or fit you are, most butts don't look so hot with thin, skin tight pants to magnify any and every flaw. Get it? Got it? Good. - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

Starbucks Cake Pops

Wow.

So I realize this may be a bit contradictory to my post earlier this week proclaiming my love for Dunkin' coffee... BUT I just have to tell you how amazing the cake pops are at Starbucks.

I went WAY out of my way to go to the chiropractor after work on Tuesday - only to remember he doesn't work on Tuesdays. Lovely. So, naturally, I decided to treat myself to an iced coffee from the corner Starbucks for the trek home. It was a nice evening after all.

While I was standing in line, these little cake pops were staring me in the face, betting me to try one. Taunting me I tell ya. So, being the sucker that I am, I paid a buck fifty for a tiny little sucker. Well, let me tell you... it was much more than that. It was heaven on a stick.

I went with Rocky Road, which happens to be a favorite flavor of mine in the ice cream department. It did NOT disappoint.

So go try one. It's worth it. And still about a fifth of the price of a grande iced skinny vanilla latte.

I must say I'm feeling GOOD about our upcoming basketball season! Wednesday, the Hogs officially announced that Mike Anderson is heading back to the 'ville.. Mike was an assistant coach under Nolan Richardson back when we WON the NCAA tournament!! I can only hope that he'll bring us back to those glory days. I at least want to make it to the big dance next year.

I imagine Mizzou fans are pretty disappointed to see him go, but we welcome him with open arms!! Yay! We need someone better than Pelphrey. And Heath. .... We've had a rough go the last I dunno.. 10 years or so. We need a redeeming year. Mike Anderson, give it to us. Please! :)

Triple feature. Trifecta, if you will.

Yesterday, Whitney and I went to see Limitless, starring Bradley Cooper. Yum. On the way into the theater, she mentioned she might be up for a double feature. If you know me, you know I'm always down for a double feature. I actually prefer a Sunday afternoon double feature over an evening movie.

So we saw Limitless. It was filmed right here in NYC. Now that I live here, I find myself really analyzing all the businesses I see in the background and looking for street signs to see if they all match up. It's really interesting, only slightly distracting. :)

Limitless was an interesting movie to say the least. Not exactly what I expected, but good. And good movie or not, $13 is never too much for me to pay to stare at Bradley Cooper and those beautiful baby blues for a little over 1.5 hours.. Prepare yourself though, the intro and parts of the film can be a little dizzying. That being said, the videography is top of the line. Definitely worth seeing.

We had a little time between Limitless and our choice for the 2nd installment of our double feature, The Lincoln Lawyer. Hall Pass was playing in the theater next to Lincoln Lawyer, so we slipped in to pass the time. I can't say I recommend this flick. I heard it was funny, now I question the movie reviewing skills of that source! It was pretty absurd and a little forced. There were a few funny lines and I love Christina Applegate who plays Jason Sudeikis' wife. There's also some male nudity. Funny, sure. But a little uncomfortable! My suggestion: wait till it's on CBS. Unless you really wanna see the male nudity.

The Lincoln Lawyer then became the third movie we saw Sunday afternoon. This was a great flick. I LOVE Matthew McConaughey. He did not disappoint. I love him in powerful roles when he can show us his cocky side. He was really perfect for this role. Ryan Phillippe starred opposite him and I hadn't seen him in anything for quite some time. He was pretty good, and always a treat for the eyes. Not such a treat for the eyes was Marisa Tomei. I really like her and I usually think she looks great. However, her hair was JACKED in this movie!! Yikes. I'm pretty sure I'd object to someone making my hair look that ridiculous in a Matthew McConaughey film. Or any film for that matter. Film is permanent. She also looked like she had aged quite a bit. But looks aside, I still like her. Go see this movie. Unless you're the girl behind us in line for the bathroom post-movie, you will be wondering what's going on all the way to the end. That girl knew what was coming the whole time and deduced that they just didn't know how to wrap things up so they ended it the way they did. Right. That's why it was a best selling novel before it became a movie. Better luck next time, chick.

So there you have it. My take on 3 new releases :) Now get on Fandango and buy yourself a movie ticket!

I heart coffee.

For reals.

I told myself I wouldn't be one of those New Yorkers that buys a coffee on the daily.

But I am. At least 5 days a week, I get a large Hazelnut, skim milk, 2 Splenda.

Yum.

The good part is this. A Venti Starbucks costs between 4 and 5 buckaroos. This puppy costs 2. So at least there's that. Right?

Do you prefer Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts? I was a Starbucks fan when I didn't have Dunkin around. Now that I've been introduced to the Dunkin coffee, I'm on the bandwagon. It's a lot less strong and way more flavorful!

So last night, after many mobile uploads and Superbowl Sunday beer-induced status updates, I vowed to stay off Facebook until Friday after work. Wowzers. I am surprised at how many times I thought about opening it up today to make comments or just to pass the time while waiting in the grocery line or while eating lunch at my desk.

So, this is a slight challenge, especially right now at this very moment, watching Crazy Ass Michelle on the Bachelor. I want so badly to say something snarky and read what my equally snarky friends are posting. BUT I'm not going to! I can do this. It's just a silly little social networking site. Instead, I'll focus on my blog. I have lots to say, so I think I should do it here. For this week at least.

Rain, Rain GO Away

It's a rainy day here in New York City... therefore I'm holed up in my apartment. I really wanted to get out and explore today! So disappointed.. I suppose I could go out anyway but it's just nasty out there and I am so sick of wearing rainboots I can hardly put it into words.

So instead, I'll catch up on my blogging. I failed miserably at the 10 posts per month in January I set my sights on. Oh well. Maybe this month! Here's hoping. Thought I'd share some more pics with you that I've snapped recently around the city. These are all iPhone pics, so the quality may be a bit sketchy. Forgive me.

A couple weekends ago we went to Spin, Susan Sarandon's Ping Pong bar. It was really cool inside. A little pricey, but a fun concept! And there was a window looking out into the subway platform.. good for people watching.

On my cab ride home, I mapped out where we were to see how close I was.. I found it interesting that Google Maps thought Hunkamania Male Strip Club was a good venue to feature! Nice.. guess that's Chelsea for ya.

It has been COOOOLD. Brrrr...

American Idol MAKES ME CRY!

Seriously.

I am an emotional basketcase when I watch this show. It's not even the sob story video clips they play before certain auditions. It's when people like the sweet little 15 year old boy from Louisiana gets up there and sings his heart out to Otis Redding and goes to Hollywood! He's such a nerdy chunky little man, but not only is he brave enough to walk in front of J-Lo, Steven and Randy, he goes in there and blows everyone away! I love stuff like this!

Now don't get me wrong, the sob stories get me too. The girl with the special needs child who sang Temporary Home had me bawling like a baby. It's outta control.

I also think Jennifer Lopez is ~~great~~ AMAZING on the show! She's so sweet and also really funny. I liked Paula, but she was a nutcase. Kara was just annoying. And Ellen had no idea what she was doing. I think J-Lo is the perfect addition to the panel.

I also really like Steven Tyler. Let's be honest. He's a badass as it is. He really does a nice job giving constructive criticism in the auditions and he isn't a jerk about it.

And good ole Randy is solid and steady.

I told myself I wasn't going to watch this season, but I had to tune into the first episode to get a handle on the new judges and now I'm already hooked again. Jeez. I need TiVo.

From Black Swan to Black Snow

Let's start with this... have you seen Black Swan?

It's fabulously dark and twisted. It will most definitely have you leaving the theater wondering WTH just happened?? But it's so worth seeing on the big screen. I had a hard time getting tickets! We tried to see it during previews (being that I now live in one of the select cities that gets movies early! ya!) to no avail. It was always sold out at every theater. So when it finally opened, we got tickets at one of the bigger theaters near Times Square, but we had to get them for a few hours later than when we got there and go have a bite to eat to kill time. Worth the wait. Especially now that Natalie Portman and the films directors are up for so many awards.

Now, on to the next topic. We have had some SERIOUS snow here lately! Much more than I've ever seen back in the South. It's beautiful at first, if not a slight pain in the arse. Then it turns ugly and becomes even more of a pain when it melts into giant lake-sized puddles and invisible black icy patches.

Nonetheless, here are a few pics I've captured of the snow recently.

I was trying to think of something prolific to write about since it's the 1st day of the new year and all... I was coming up short. I think my facebook status from last night drained all the prolific-ness out of me. I know that's not a word, but I couldn't come up with anything else. :)

Well, my computer is out of service at the moment so I'm blogging from the iPhone. Forgive the lack of formatting. I'm OCD about centering but haven't figured this blog app out just yet. So left justified it is. Dangit. Unfortunately, the storage space in my studio apartment does not exactly present itself in abundance. And shoes take precedence over decor of any sort. So... I had to leave almost all of my Christmas decorations behind in Arkansas. Sad day. I almost left it all, but AJ and my mom convinced me that was a bad idea. I'm glad. Here's my Charlie Brown-esque holiday display.

Yep. That's all folks. Well that and I switched out my white year round wreath to one of 2 Christmas ones that managed to make it here.. Hmm.. More on the wreath situation later. (I hung the white one up above my dresser because clearly I have nowhere to store it while it's not in use. And I think I like it inside!) Gotta Have a Gimmick

One of my ALL TIME FAVORITE movies is Gypsy with Bette Midler. If you haven't seen it, I recommend you go out and find it ASAP! It's probably mostly on VHS, but surely you can find it on Netflix these days. I have it on VHS. A-MAZING.

The movie is about show business and how burlesque got started. It follows a family of performers who go from child actors to burlesque dancers. It is seriously amazing. I want to watch it right now.

Introducing Gypsy Rose Lee...

One of the best numbers in the show is from these ladies.. singing "Gotta Have a Gimmick" ..

The reason this movie came to mind recently is the upcoming movie, Burlesque, with Christina Aguilera and Cher.

Cannot even wait to see this movie! I love Cher. Christina is an amazing singer. And the supporting cast is unbelievable. And there's singing and dancing. What more can you ask for? Yeah... not much. So I'll be seeing this soon! It debuts on Thanksgiving. Sounds like a great activity for one of the freezing cold Sundays I see in my future!

Is anyone else as obsessed as I am with Kate Middleton?

I have ALWAYS been intrigued by her. She is so beautiful. In the most natural of ways. She's not trying too hard. She looks like the girl next door who everyone loves. She is so unpretentious. Oh to be her bff. Ha.

I have always been fascinated with the British Royal family. I wanted to know Princess Diana so badly. She was so beautiful and such a classy woman. She made a difference in the lives of so many and she still does. I can remember the day Princess Diana died. I sat in the rocking chair in our living room and watched the news unfold. And cried. She was always someone I looked up to and loved reading about in magazines.

What a woman.

Maybe that's when my crush on Prince William developed. What a hunk :) I always thought he was so cute. Could I be the next Princess of Wales??? haha. not likely. But a girl could dream right?? Was never gonna happen. Especially not now. But I'm glad it's Kate, since it's not me. Right?

Pigging out...

Omigosh, it's almost Thanksgiving! I cannot even believe it.

I've already started pigging out. WTF. The holiday pounds are not welcome, however I'm inviting them in early. It's GOT. TO. STOP. Yowza. Thank goodness I walk to work every day! A little cardio never hurt anybody, right?

Anywho. I love Thanksgiving! It's all about family, friends, food, football.. what more could you ask for?

It's not about presents and superficial things, but about what matters most! I am really excited to go home to Arkansas for the long weekend and visit with everyone. It's been almost 2 months since I've hugged my mom and dad. TOO LONG! And I haven't seen my grandparents in even longer. Brings tears to my eyes as I type. So it will be a good weekend. I will be traveling on Thanksgiving day, but I don't anticipate any trouble as I think most people will travel before the day of. At least I hope so!

I'm also super pumped for 'Girls Thanksgiving' .. a tradition my girlfriends and I have started since graduating college. We always get together over the break to celebrate with one another and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I'm so happy I'll get to be a part of it this year! I was worried I'd miss it.

Am I crazy for leaving this fabulous city for one of the most treasured Thanksgiving traditions ever? The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade?

Maybe. But there's always next year.. and every year after that! I don't know if in the future I'll want to travel back to Arkansas for Thanksgiving and Christmas both, but this year it is important for me to see my family and friends as much as possible for the holidays! The adjustment to city life has been extremely smooth and I have loved every minute of it, but believe me, I'm still ready for a little Southern living and loving! Even if only for a couple days :)

I am really excited to tailgate on Saturday for the Arkansas vs. LSU game! This is a huge game for both teams and it's always after Thanksgiving. This year the game is in Little Rock, so I'll be so happy to go out and tailgate in support of my HOGS! There is truly nothing like a Little Rock tailgate.

I wasn't able to go to a game before I moved, so this will be my first Razorback game of the year. Can't wait! Woo Pig Sooie!! :)

I can't wait to see everyone! One week from today I'll be back in the Natural State! See y'all soon! :) XOXOXO

Yep.. that's me! Whizzing by.. :)

I'll admit, I'm no Nancy Kerrigan, but I'll tell ya, ice skating is fun! And a workout!

Yesterday, my buddy Keith and I spent the afternoon exploring Manhattan! We mostly wandered through the Meatpacking District and Chelsea. Then we decided it might be fun to go check out Rockefeller Center and see the progress on the tree and see if the rink was still open for the night.

Sure enough, it was open, so we signed ourselves up and checked out some blades!

We both agreed it didn't take too long to get the hang of things and quickly graduated from the wall to center ice! Keith was quite the daredevil attempting spins and backward skating. My tricks were similar but on a much smaller scale. Which is why I never did this...

:) He had quite the audience and was getting plenty of encouragement despite any spills!

Despite the fact that it's a stereotypical tourist attraction, I can't wait to go back.. especially when the tree is lit and the Christmas music is in full swing! Last night they played a great mix of 80s, but it's just not the same.. I need snow and fa la la la la la la la la's...

Here's the tree in progress.. it's 70 ft tall and 40 ft wide AND it weighs over 2 tons! Wowzers.
